PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
LESLIE BROWN
Leslie Brown is the founder of the Northwest Mississippi homeschool basketball league and the head coach of its middle school team. In 2022, she saw a need for opportunities for homeschool students, including her own son, to compete and grow through basketball, so she started a league of her own. What began with a small group quickly grew into a program loved by local families and now serves around 30 student athletes. Known for being encouraging, strategic, and intentional with each player, Leslie is passionate about helping kids build skill, confidence, and character through the game.
OUR CORE VALUES
The Northwest Mississippi Wolves were created to give homeschool athletes the opportunity to compete, grow, and experience the camaraderie that comes through team sports. What started as a small effort to provide opportunities for local families has grown into a thriving community of players, parents, coaches, and volunteers who share the goal of helping young athletes develop both on and off the court. Our program is built on the belief that basketball is more than a game, it is a place where players learn discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance. We strive to create an environment where every athlete is encouraged to work hard, support their teammates, and represent their families and community with pride. At the Wolves, developing character is just as important as developing skill, and we aim to build a culture of respect, humility, and sportsmanship that prepares our players for leadership both in basketball and in life.
